WHO CAN CONTRIBUTE?
Under Elections BC rules, campaign contributions may only be made by individuals who:
Are residents of British Columbia; and
Are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
The maximum contribution to Dan McLaren’s campaign in 2026 is $1,429.70 per individual.
Contributions must be made using your own funds. Contributions from corporations, unions and other organizations are not permitted, and individuals cannot be reimbursed for making a contribution. Unlike provincial or federal elections, donations to municipal campaigns are not eligible for tax credits.
CONTRIBUTOR INFORMATION & DISCLOSURE
Dan McLaren’s campaign is required to record the contributor’s full name, residential address, contribution amount and date of contribution.
If your contributions total $100 or more, your name and total contribution amount will be publicly disclosed in Elections BC’s Financial Reports and Political Contributions system.
Campaign contributions to local election candidates are not eligible for income tax receipts.
